My novel “Winner Takes All” is currently on preorder and will be officially released on June 14th! In celebration of the upcoming release, I thought it would be fun to share a few fun facts about this book.
1. I started writing “Winner Takes All” in 2020.
I started writing “Winner Takes All” starting in mid-2020. I hadn’t thought of it being an actual novel to publish until I finished the first three drafts. Having a novel published (either traditionally or self-published) is a big dream of mine, so realizing that this specific novel could be the one was an exciting prospect. I completed the final draft back in April 2022, and now it’ll be officially released on June 14th, 2022!
2. I designed the cover by myself!
Cover of “Winner Takes All: A Harlow Mystery” by Claris LamI decided to design my own book cover for “Winner Takes All,” and I’m very glad about the end result. The short version of explaining how I made it is that I studied other murder mystery book covers to see what types of designs fit the genre, made numerous drafted copies, and eventually decided on this one as the final cover. I would be happy to expand on this in a longer blog post in the future, if there is enough interest.
3. “Winner Takes All” will be available in ebook format only (for now).
“Winner Takes All” will be available in ebook format only. If there is enough demand for it, I’ll do what I can to have “Winner Takes All” available in both ebook and paperback in the future.
4. There will be more books taking place after this one!
Books 2 and 3 are in progress as of this writing. I started writing Books 2 and 3 in late 2020. If there is enough demand for it, I’ll publish Books 2 and 3 in both ebook and paperback versions.
There are no confirmed release dates for both of these books yet. However, I will try to keep all of you updated on their progress in future writing progress-related posts and update their respective series page accordingly!
