Happy August, everyone!
We’re in the last third of this summer already!
It feels like time just flew by last month, at least for me. Here’s a recap of what I did this past July:

“Engagement To Die For” was covered by Night Beats!
I got the lovely opportunity last month to be interviewed by Night Beats for “Engagement To Die For,” Book 2 in the Harlow Mystery series!

What Am I Writing Lately?
Here’s a quick list of what I wrote last month:
- I finished writing the first draft of Book 6 of my cozy urban fantasy series!
- Also, the cozy urban fantasy series will now have 7 books. See the WIP page for details!
- Started outlining two other standalone book ideas.
- Drafted some short stories.
- Submitted some short stories and poetry to lit mags and contests to be considered for publication!
This month, I intend to:
- Focus more on short story and poetry writing
- Figure out what to do for the Fall/Autumn and Winter seasons coming up.
- Start slowly drafting Book 7 of the cozy urban fantasy series.
You might be thinking: Huh. This isn’t a very long list.
You’re correct! I intentionally did not make it a long list of things to accomplish this month, writing-wise.
It’s the last third of summer, and I want to take some time to enjoy what’s left of it this year. I’ve had very busy time in June promoting my third book “Bloody Fantasia” being released. I also took a lot of time in July to re-center myself and figure out the next steps in my writing journey.
Given this, I want to take August to be a bit more at ease with pacing myself as a writer and as a person. I still plan to send newsletters during the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of August, though, so feel free to subscribe to keep up with what I’m writing recently!
I’ll give a more in-depth plan of what I want to achieve for the Fall/Autumn season in September’s writing update post.
Thank you for following my writing journey!
I appreciate all of you supporting my writing journey as I make these new adjustments moving forward.
