January 2026 was quite prolific for me, so I’m going to just get into what happened last month, and what to expect this month:

My debut fantasy kidlit book Sadie Rowe And The Missing Necklace will be published THIS MONTH!
Sadie Rowe And The Missing Necklace will be published on February 23rd, 2026.
I first drafted this book in 2022, and I am so glad that this book is finally seeing the light of day this month!
Preorders are available starting TOMORROW, Feb. 2nd, so stay tuned for the preorder links!
Reading my chlidhood favourites, Gwyneth Rees’ Fairy Dust series and Daisy Meadows’ Rainbow Fairy series, inspired me for writing this book. Parents, this is the perfect read for your kids for March Break this spring season!

Sadie Rowe And The Missing Necklace will be available in both ebook and paperback format on Amazon. However, I hope to publish the book wide/on other retailers in the future.
What Did I Write Last Month?
I completed writing Draft 3 of The Secret Gardens We Grew Together, a standalone cozy fantasy book!
- Next steps: Start writing Draft 4 later this month or in March, depending on how occupied I get with Sadie Rowe being published this month!
I really hope Draft 4 is the final draft of this book. I do enjoy writing it, but I also REALLY want to focus on other projects too!
Speaking of other projects, I also started drafting a new book…and then put it back on hiatus. The working title is Faerie Hall, and it’s a standalone fantasy book. However, I put this one on hiatus quite quickly because I realized the book’s plot was far too dark for my taste, and so I want to come back to it later and re-write it in a way that makes more sense to me.

Writing Plans For This Month
This month includes the following plans in mind:
- Publishing Sadie Rowe, obviously!
- Focusing on the Unusual Adventure trilogy/duology/two books in a connected universe that don’t necessarily have to be read in order.
You’ve probably heard of me writing about the Unusual Adventure series last year if you’ve followed me for long enough. I wrote these books after being heavily inspired by Sierra On-Line/Sierra Entertainment’s King’s Quest series. After putting it on the back burner for a while, I’ve decided to dive back into what I’ve written so far and…honestly, I don’t think it’s going to be a trilogy. It’ll likely be just two connected books that happen to be in the same universe, but can be read as standalones. At this stage, it’s easier to categorize these two as such thanks to their differing main casts and plotlines. However, I’m not 100% sure yet on this, and will probably figure this out by the time I send my next author newsletter to readers.
