Looking Forward to 2020!

This is it. We’re heading into 2020!

Next year, officially, will be five years since I started this blog. June 12th, 2020 will be the five-year-anniversary of starting this blog, to be more specific.

I never thought that I would end up starting a Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr to go along with this blog, but here we are, five years into the writing journey.

I’m truly grateful for all the support and love you’ve given me along the way, and it’s more than I can put into words. Never did I think that I would have support for fanfiction series that I created over these past years, that I would ever have a poem published, and that all of you would be interested in reading my book reviews. Words can’t do justice for how grateful I am to have the opportunity to share all of this with all of you reading.

As I head into 2020, a new year, it’s natural that I have a couple New Years’ Resolutions—goals that we hope to accomplish for the upcoming year, whether they be new ones we want to conquer, or old ones we didn’t accomplish this year but hope to do in the new year. So, here are the three resolutions I want to share with all of you:

1. Continue writing my novel(s)!

Yes, that is a plural. I am working on more than one novel (the second one is outlined but I haven’t started writing the first draft as of the time of this post). As all of you may know from following my Tumblr, I finished the first draft of my novel “Finding The End” and it’s currently in the editing stage/writing the second draft. My goal for the next year is to write the second draft completely for “Finding The End” and finish writing the first draft of my second novel. Currently, I have no clue when they will be published. It took me much longer than expected to write the first draft, and who knows how long it’ll take me to write the second one? (Hopefully not as long as the first one.) But if there are any major updates on these, I’ll be sure all of you following are the first to know!

2.  Continue writing poetry/short stories and hopefully have more published to share with all of you!

I’m trying to be more active in submitting poetry and short fiction for literary magazines and related websites, and I hope to continue that going into next year. If I have any more pieces published during 2020, I’ll be sure to let you all know and update the Original Fiction and Poetry page to reflect that!

3. Continue writing Fanfiction!

Currently, my major fanfiction projects are the Rune Factory 4/The Last Story crossover “The Next Chapters” and my Escape The Night fanfic “Wicked Game.” I hope to finish “Wicked Game” by halfway through 2020 at latest. I’m currently not sure how long it’ll take for “The Next Chapters” to be finished, but there will be other fanfics being posted from time to time throughout 2020 while that’s happening.

Thank you for all your support for this blog and my writing during these past years. I hope we all can look forward to 2020 and make it just as good or even better than this year!

What are you planning next year? Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions? Let me know in the comments!
