I hope all of you had a wonderful past September!

The Autumn/Fall season is in full swing, and with includes the fact that “Stay Magical,” my magical girl-inspired short story collection, was published last month.

Thank you to everyone that bought a copy of the book! I really appreciate all the love and support it got! I would for you to share this with more fantasy short story readers, as well as any fans of magical girl shows, books, and games like Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure, Magica Riot, A Magical Girl Retires, and Life After Magic that want more in the genre!

What Did I Write Last Month?

I spent a lot of time submitting multiple poems and short stories to literary magazines and contests for hopeful publication! For those unaware, September is a month were many literary magazines and contests are open for submissions. It made sense for me to take advantage of that while they were still open.

Outside of literary magazine submissions, however, I’m still writing “Sonnets of Autumn” and drafting the unlisted WIP I mentioned from last month. Said unlisted WIP also now has an “unlisted sequel” that I’m outlining. Fortunately that’s as far as it’s going in terms of expansion. This is a good thing for me, who is already overwhelmed with the other series I put on hiatus writing-wise).

As for how far the progress is going for both of those projects, I’d say that “Sonnets of Autumn” is about 33% complete. However, I really want to get that closer to 50% or even 75% complete by the end of the month. As for the unlisted WIP and its sequel, I’d love to finish 50% of the unlisted WIP, and finish outlining the sequel, by the end of the month.

What Am I Writing This Month?

I’m writing “Sonnets of Autumn” at this time! I’m not sure when exactly I’ll get Draft 1 done, but progress is being made.

I also will continue writing what I call “the unlisted WIP” and its sequel that I mentioned earlier in this blog.

I also hope to write more short stories and poems this month! It was really fun for me to get back into writing and submitting more poetry and short stories and I truly do want to do that more regularly moving forward. If you want more details about how that will go, check out my newsletter!
