My free verse poem “How To Do Nothing (Yet Still Do Something)” won 3RD PLACE in the 2nd Annual Lodestar Children’s Services’ Poetry & Art Contest!

The poem specifically won 3rd place in their poetry category of the contest, and I am incredibly thrilled by this. The Lodestar Children’s Services’ Poetry & Art Contest invites artists and writers of all ages to share their creativity in support of mental health awareness. Lodestar Children’s Services (LCS) works with youth with mental health needs, and many of the youth who Lodestar supports are at risk of out-of-home placement in residential programs or hospitals. LCS’ services provide the support children need to stay within the comfort and safety of their homes and communities.

Thank you so much to the Lodestar team for choosing my poem as one of the winners. Also, congratulations to everyone else that placed in the contest!
