Hello, fellow readers and writers!
I mentioned back in my December writing update, posted earlier this month, that I had three poems that were accepted for publication.
I am grateful and excited to announce that my three poems “Sick Days,” “Everything Is Fine,” and “Quarantined Fear” were published in the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health’s (YCRH) project In Their Own Words: Reflections By Youth On The Pandemic! Yes, I announced on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr earlier that they were supposed to be published tomorrow (Thursday the 22nd), but it turns out that they would be publishing them a day early instead/today!
This project consists of youth ages 12 to 25 sharing their experiences and stories during the COVID-19 pandemic. These projects range rom art to audio and video to writing! Thank you to the YCRH for publishing my work!
My poems, along with over 100 other accepted submissions, will be published in a featured Special Series on Healthy Debate – Canada’s online source for journalism about health care. The rest of the other contributors’ works featured in this project will be published over the next several months. Feel free to check out their works as well!
